TFI Substructure

TFI substructures are classified as box-on-box, self-elevating and swing up types. All TFI substructures conform to API 4F specification.

  2.Self-Elevating Substructure
This substructure allows for rig floor and its complimenting components to be installed at low level. Rig floor and mast can be raised simultaneously. Hydraulic cylinders on each side of the rig floor act as bumpers during mast elevation and pushing force when the mast is being laid down. In the case of the swing-up substructure, the mast is elevated first followed by the rig floor.
